Why

It took LOTS of Patience & Perseverance

I’m excited to share that after years filled with technical challenges, setbacks, and a global pandemic, our new Shopify website is finally live! This journey has been extraordinary, especially as someone with a non-programming background. It’s a story about relying on others’ expertise, facing tough lessons, and never giving up on a vision.

Our journey began with an ASP.NET website, which soon proved limiting for our expanding business. Seeking a more scalable solution, we ambitiously shifted to Magento. Not being tech-savvy, I had to depend heavily on friends and professionals for this technical leap. Unfortunately, Magento’s complexity, combined with my limited tech knowledge, resulted in a costly project failure and, even more heartbreakingly, the loss of a friendship. This phase taught me a crucial lesson about the importance of understanding my own limitations and the complexities of blending professional projects with personal relationships. The arrival of the pandemic added another layer of complexity, as it did for everyone, particularly for those of us in small businesses. We struggled not just with the technical aspects of our e-commerce platform but also with keeping the business afloat during such turbulent times. These challenges underscored the value of adaptability and resilience in business.

Eventually, we turned to Shopify. For someone without a deep understanding of coding or web development, Shopify’s user-friendly nature was a relief. It was more than a platform switch; it symbolized an embrace of simplicity and a focus on what really matters—our customers and our products. Last week, we finally launched our Shopify site. This milestone is more than just about moving to a new e-commerce platform; it’s a testament to enduring through the toughest times, learning from mistakes, and the value of patience and perseverance, especially when you’re not a tech expert.

As we look at our new Shopify site, it stands as a symbol of a journey through technological challenges, personal growth, and the unyielding pursuit of a goal. This experience highlights the importance of understanding your limits, learning to trust and work effectively with others, and to never lose sight of your vision, regardless of the obstacles. I invite you to visit our new website,, a product of many lessons learned and a beacon of hope for non-techies like me in the entrepreneurial world. Your journey might be difficult, but remember, perseverance always finds its way!
