Why

Win-Win… A Core Value

When I have decisions that have to be made, or things that I have to do or accomplish, I always try to achieve a Win-Win situation. I lean on my Core Values, which are the same as my company. One of these Core Values is “Win-Win.” We define this as… “Always create “WIN/WIN” Solutions. It’s a 2-way street. Learn to think from other’s perspective. Discover what they need and find a way to help them meet those needs while fulfilling your own. Win/win solutions are always more effective and longer lasting than win/lose solutions.

I am currently in a situation where I discovered what another’s need and desire was and did everything to accomplish this for and with them. I presented a very positive win-win situation in accomplishing everything that was requested. But, I’m not sure that the other person truly knows what they want and seems unhappy and unfulfilled? This was not the intended content that I had planned when thinking about writing about Win-Win. The real world sometimes intervenes. My intent going forward is to double down on attempting to do my best in finding a win-win conclusion. But, as life has taught me I can only control myself and you can only help others who want to be helped, or know what they want. Has the original target now changed without warning? We’ll find out. Whatever way this situation takes me I’ll continue to strive to create a WIN-WIN while employing my other Core Values of RESPECT, INTEGRITY and CARE.
